Did they die at the end at the same time or did one pass on before the other? The film doesn't show us, but I felt let down by the writers because they seem to not know much about cancer and how it affects people.

Anyway is just a movie with a lot of "cliches"
I say that from personal experience of knowing someone and knowing people (married couples) who have both fought cancer. It's not a pretty end when one or both ultimately succumb so I felt that the writers should have been brave enough to insert the reality death approaching. It's not a big deal overall, the film is great chick flick for dating.
