Did she ever play Anna in the King + I?

I don't know for sure, is there any way of knowing? But, if not, I thought it would have been wonderful to see her play Anna... I mean, if we can see Andrea McArdle play Miss Hannigan, Shirley Jones play Cousin Nettie, and Colm Wilkinson play the Bishop in Les Mis, why not?

What the hey, it would have been REALLY interesting to see her play opposite Yul Brynner, him as the King and her as Anna of course, at some point in his career, since he almost literally played Mongkut to his dying day.

I think she could have done it - it would have been the type of role she'd have wanted, I think - the farthest thing imaginable from the Laina "spitfire" stereotype.
