For People Who've Seen Frankenstein
If you could only go to one showing, would you prefer seeing Cumberbatch as The Monster and JLM as Victor or vice versa?

The so-called "reverse casting" ('cos it was shown second of the live cinema screenings), JLM as the Creature, Ben as Victor. Every review I saw thought this was the better combination, and it was the one I booked to see before I'd even read a review of it. It seemed the most intuitive; Ben with the more intellectual role, JLM with the raw emotion of the Creature.
I went to see JLM as the creature and Cumberbatch as Victor and I loved it. That for me is the winning combination.
shareI have seen both and enjoyed both but preffered Jonny as the creature. However I think this is because I am a JLM fan and felt that the creature was the better part. There was not much to pick between the creature performances. Both were amazing. I liked Jonny's Victor better as he was more arrogant. Think its subjective though. Both very fine actors. Hope they work together again.
shareI am a BC fan (didn't know much about JLM). And I thought JLM as the creature and BC as Victor was the better combo- I got to see both versions.
I thought that JLM showed the transformation from the creature born innocent and taught to hate more so than BC did. It makes sense since he took his inspiration from his son. Watching JLM as the creature (well and Victor) I think was a great introduction to a very talented actor.. . . . I am excited for his future projects.
I mean I had see trainspotting and Hackers a very very very long time ago and other than Ewan McGregor did not really remember the actors.
