I posted in the Wagon Train thread about a great ep' with Ms Lockhart.
Thought I'd post something to legitimize her own thread, and she's sharing a crummy photo with Guy Williams. In some ways, he might be better looking than she is (haha), but she stills deserves her own Still Photograph.
And she may not appear to be a classic beauty in a still shot, but she was lovely to watch on screen. Such grace and kindness she radiated.
I agree. There should be a photo of her alone, and it should have nothing to do with any of the many TV shows she starred in....
Lassie
Lost In Space
Petticoat Junction
General Hospital.....
Am I forgetting any other TV shows?
Luv ya MMC ! Man, in this Wagon Train episode, she had long brunette hair, always the beautiful eyes, and she was pregnant with a half-breed baby. I like to say, "Assaulted" by an Indian, but in dramatic TV reality (not Real Reality), she was raped.
It was a fascinating episode, but one funny flaw was that, the assault happened 9 months before this ep' began, but June is as calm and pleasant as a woman who just received her college graduation diploma. They completely gloss over she had been forcibly, um, taken, and she's A-OK. That would be a very resilient person.
Otherwise, it was very intense, her wanting to keep the baby and everyone else wanting her to give it to the Reservation. It was really emotional, at least for me.
But it's great hearing from you.
I haven't seen that episode of Wagon Train.
Yes. I should think that in that period in time, a woman in that situation would have a hard time keeping her composure. I must see if I can find that. Maybe You Tube? Great talking with you, as usual. I'll let you know if I should find this episode. Sounds good! At the moment, I'm about ready to go out with the Mr. for dinner. They say women keep men waiting! In this house? Not so! LOL!
I agree. Who thought it would be a good idea to have her share the photo with her co-star. That's harkening back to the days when it was thought that a woman could not survive or even function without a man. It's dumb ... And I am a guy!
