i met him outside of dirty rotten scoundrels in nyc and he was very very rude. People were aksing him to sign autographs and take pictures and he complained about it right in front of everyone, at one point he even said "i think this stuff is a waste of my time." I still think hes a great actor and enjoyed the show, but im very disappointed in him.

yeah i agree. but i still can't think that John Lithgow (from what i have heard, "the nicest guy in Hollywood") would do that to people. i mean it is possible. because what if he was tired, or was hungry or something. i mean when i am hungry i want to eat. so yeah.

I thought that Lithgow was arrogant but that was years ago. I now realize that even celebrities have good days and bad days and that ALL people change and grow over time. I'm NOT the same person I was five years ago, I hope I am a better person. I'm not in the same place and neither are you. Lithgow has like the rest of us mellowed with age. It's called growing up. I would hate to think that some comment I made five , ten or fifteen years ago would forever condemn me and that I would be so pigeonholed as person that no matter what good I have said or done I could not be excused for being impatient or insensitive on any one occasion. Lithgow is just a human being like the rest of us. Lighten up and give him the benefit of the doubt.

omg, i didnt say that he had to acknowledge me specifically, but he could have been nicer about the whole thing. a simple "sorry im busy" wouldve been sufficent. and besides that, everyone was at a thing where they knew they would see him, its not like we bombarded his home on a holiday or hid in his trashcan to snap a picture. i know hes a human being with good days and bad ones, but if ur a public situation its better to be civil. and also, i didnt even comment on his acting being bad, i said hes still a terrific actor and that i enjoyed the show. unless u know the guy personally dont comment on me being selfish!!
