Friends Reunion

I heard a while ago there was going to be a movie. I haven't heard much since then. Is it still on, or possible?
I know Matt is still trying to move past that, but it would be kinda cool if they did it for the fans.

I haven't heard anything about a movie. I don't really think there's a movie needed--they wrapped things up with the characters in the series. Doing a movie would seem kind of desperate, wouldn't it? I think the actors are all happy to have moved on from it as it had run its course.

They are all millionaires. If they do a reunion it would be for the fans and of course spedning time on set again with each other.

Every now and then I hear rumours about making a FRIENDS movie. But I think it will stay rumours. It would be a good idea to have a movie on how the characters are after the show has ended. Like 10 years later. But I think this is very risky. Because FRIENDS was a show about the lives of 6 young people in their mid 20's. The movie would be about their lives as middle-aged people and it will be much harder to find a storyline so funny and good like the series. I prefer not having a movie at all, than having a bad movie that will ruin the way I see this series.

Besides, who needs a movie? The series never gets old! I've watched every single episode many times and I never get bored of it. I enjoy watching all the apisodes as I did when I watched it for the first time.

All the actors and writers have been pretty adamant against reunions because they have a reputation of being a failure. In a ton of interviews I've read in the past, they all say no. So I kinda doubt itll happen. I personally would rather not have something that would sully the way they went out.

A lot of British programmes do holiday specials every few years so fans can catch up with the characters, perhaps they may do a Christmas special one year once Aniston stops getting *beep* romcom roles (so maybe sometime like 2015 once Hollywood decides she no longer has value due to her age).

Then again, British shows tend not to go for 10 seasons and completely burn out the characters and their stories.

You gotta believe that someday within the next ten years they'll reunite, even if it's just a 5 minutes short on funnyordie.

Edit: 2015 is here but no reunion in sight!

It would be cool if they got together in something that wasn't Friends.

Maybe something where they'd all appear but not necessarily in the same scenes.

Well the girls have a role in Cougar Town.
Jennifer and Lisa only in one episode, but Courtney is the main character of the show

SO in my opinion that is enough :P

There have been rumors of a reunion since the show ended. Apparently, the idea was for a "Thanksgiving reunion" because thanksgiving was always there biggest holiday on the show. Each of the 6 cast members were offered $1 Million for the reunion episode and they turned it down. They said they wouldn't do it unless everyone was in on it and I don't know if some were game and others weren't but in the end they all walked away from the idea. Haven't heard much about a movie and I hope they don't. I would have been interested in a thanksgiving reunion a year or two after the series ended but not now. But again, the cast was famous for negotiating as "one" and with Schwimmer directing and producing, Cox and her TV series, ect. I see it being difficult to get everyone on the same page again. Not to mention Paul Rudd maybe being the most in demand actor of the Friends cast at this point. (I know he isn't part of the "original 6" but if there was a reunion he would need to be there with Pheobe). As a die hard fan, Friends was put to rest with charisma and class, don't mess with it now.
