So good to hear her quote that Kim Stanley was her favorite female co-star. Kim Stanley in my opinion is the finest actress next to Streep.

Yes, it was. After doing Frances, which was a very gruelling shoot for Lange, she was offered Tootsie. She was going to turn it down but Kim Stanley encouraged her to do it as it was such a departure from Frances.
