Does anyone get a feeling she's a little 'touched'

Honestly, and with all due respect I think that Jessica is a bit off, just a little mentally unstable. It's especially become more evident in the last decade or so but she is the best when she's playing mentally unstable characters and seeks them out actually. Now it's either that or she's on some heavy duty meds. But no she always appeared that way to me. But nowadays she has a trouble saying a coherent sentence. It's kind of sad.

I believe Jessica has alluded to her struggle with Depression in past interviews. It's difficult to know how much of an impact it has had on her work since she is very private about her life. In the decade before her career resurgence on American Horror StoryI believe Lange fell victim to Hollywood Ageism, joining the ranks of other mature actresses who diminish in the industry because they are offered fewer and fewer quality roles. In addition to aging in a youth-obsessed industry, Lange has always been a devoted mother and grandmother, so I imagine her family is her top priority. Over the years she has cultivated other passions besides acting that she pursues with equal vigor, and these include photography and writing. Last year Jessica actually held an exhibition of her photos and I believe she wrote and published a children's book in 2013. I am aware Jess seemed confused and incoherent during her Paleyfest interview a few months ago, but I think that could be due to other reasons besides mental illness. Anyone who watches the interview will agree the panel was poorly moderated. None of the actors, including Lange, seemed to be able to hear the questions they were being asked. The entire event seemed disorganized and all parties involved appeared bored and confused throughout. I think Jessica is doing great and I'm looking forward to (hopefully!) seeing her portray Mary Tyrone in "Long Day's Journey into Night" on the Broadway stage.

Yeah it didn't help that she was with a 'man who didn't like her to be working' as she had said (meaning Sam Shepard). All of that emotion and imagination had to manifest and being all but forbidden to do it could have done a lot of damage I think.

I think she has discussed her depression in the past. She has also mentioned dyslexia, which is definitely cognitive. I did read that she is opposed to medications due to the possibility it might affect her ability to really get into her characters.

On the face of things Barbara Hershey appears normal. Reality she is not only crazy but the *beep* from hell. I worked with her and before that with David Carradine. He told me stories. Then I found out for myself. However I love Jessica Lange, never met her.

I do not know what you are writing. Diffcult to understand anything. With whom did you work?
You found out for yourself but you never met Lange.... sounds all like creating stories.😒

Sorry you did not understand. Let me try again.
I've worked with many crazy, self centered, addicted actors and actresses. Most of the time they are great people to work with but one can and does ruin the wole experence.
I was referring to Barbara Hershey who is the C--T from hell. She appear normal but is insane.I had worked with David Carradine a few year before working with Hershey. David loved telling stories about her and other things as well.I sense Lange might be difficult but she might be worth the trouble.

Pzachlen beats the same drum over and over and over. Same, tired old stories from a tired, old queen. Give it a rest Lenny. Nobody gives a rat's a** about your skewed opinions on the character of people "you worked with." Move on already.
