I love Jessica Lange, always have, always will.

She may not be the blonde sex goddess she was in her prime but her acting chops remain razor sharp. She is the female Jack Nicholson; smart, charismatic and dangerous.

I'm streaming my way through American Horror Story, I'm half way through Season 2. Because of JL, it's incredibly addictive. But I must ask why isn't she in Season 6? She left this show to work with Louis CK on Horace and Pete, did she have her fill of Gothic horror?

Completely agree with your comparison, OP. To answer your question, yes, Jessica had had enough of "gothic horror" and was ready to move on from AHS.
