It drives me nuts whenever I watch this one actress who looks SO MUCH like Marianne, she HAS to be her sister. Most notably this "look-alike" woman has played a cop (or FBI-type character) on Numbers and Joon's psychiatrist in the 1993 movie "Benny & Joon" with Johnny Depp, Mary Stuart McMasterson, and Aidan Quinn. And I have seen her in other minor roles too.
Any help here?

shareWell, I looked up the "look-alike" actress in imbd's "Benny and Joon" and although CCH Pounder (the look-alike) went to boarding school in England, she was born in Guyana and the parents had moved the family to the US after that. Also CCH Pounder was born in 1952, which would make her a whole lot older than Marianne. They didn't say anything about an actress-daughter but I wonder-- could Marianne be CCH Pounder's DAUGHTER?

CCHP was born in 52. Marianne was born in 67; CCH was 15 in 67. It could happen but I doubt it. THey dont look alike.

I think that they look very much alike. I had not been watching "Close to Home" until last year, and when I first saw Marianne, I thought, "Hey! CCH Pounder has lost weight and had a facelift!" LOL, I am serious!
shareI have always thought these two actresses MUST be related, not only do they look alike but they even have the same mannerisms. I know they were born in different countries but I bet if they did their family trees they would find a connection!
