officially money grubbing whore now

Im sick of his extended edition crap.
Battle of the Five armies clearly showed what a money gfubbing whore he became.
Cut out the decent trailer scene from the actual movie and completely cutting out beorn part so that fans will buy extended edition.
Wow. What a whore.

Lots of films have scenes, even major sequences, in their trailers that don't make it into the final cut of the film. So I find it very hard to believe that was a deliberate ploy on Jackson's part to make people buy different versions.

If anything, what I find a bit annoying about Jackson is that his cinema releases seem cut down too much, and his extended cuts turn out to be much better films. That seems to be true in every instance where he's released an extended cut, certainly from The Frighteners onwards. (I don't think The Lovely Bones had an extended cut anyway, but I only saw it once at the flicks and then haven't been interested in watching it again; and although Heavenly Creatures has been released in a longer cut in the US, it seems Jackson had no part in assembling that version and reportedly quite dislikes it.)

It's led me to question his judgement as an editor more than as a director; now, I just wait for the EE version to come out before I buy a film of his, and then buy that.

You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment.
