shareI'm pretty sure it got cancelled. Good thing too. Movies based on video games suck, but IMO, video games based on movie are worse.

He talks about a lot of things, but most of them never get translated into action. His thinking suffers from something called "ideational density," that is, too many ideas. A nice problem for a creative person to have, but obviously they don't all end up being feasible.

Hollywood wussed out on him even though he was still on top of his game at the time. Shame, too, because it probably would have been the film to turn round video game based movies.

He put Neill Blomkamp in charge of it. It fell apart in Pre-production, not because of Blomkamp, just because it happens sometimes. Jackson felt bad for Neill, so he let Neill make whatever he wanted. So Neill made District 9. And they've never looked back.
