After the Frighteners he stopped being an interesting director.

His LOTR movies are just cheesy and boring.

King Kong was redundant.

If he goes back to weird horror movies or stuff like Heavenly Creatures I will be a fan again but right now he is just a sell-out and his stuff sucks.

It's hard to believe the same man who made something so beautiful and touching like Heavenly Creatures could make the mainstream garbage he makes now.

The Lord of the Rings books themselves are overrated and boring as hell. Don't really get all the hype. It was a chore to read them.

The Frighteners director's cut is my favourite of his.

I thought the same thing about The Frightners, personally. A horror/comedy where the comedy is frighteningly bad and the horror is hilarious in its stupidity.

It's hard to believe the same man who made something so beautiful and touching like Heavenly Creatures could make the mainstream garbage he makes now.

I do agree with this part though. The LotRs movies are credible, but HC is the closest he ever came to legitimate greatness.
