The thing that always gave me pause was that Corey Feldman never claimed MJ engaged in any funny business with him, and he would totally soak up any publicity that controversy would give him.
Also Razörfist has in depth rants [making strong cases] for both MJ and Cos on YT.
No doubt some were just fans, but the Arvizos were scam artists and proven so, and their timeline was full of lies and holes. So it should never have gone to trial because they weren't credible.
He could have been convicted a-la Weinstein or Cosby now, in MeToo era. But he is dead now. And back then he was mega powerful super rich celebrity. And they were children and could not arrange any Smartphone hidden camera a-la Depp Heard who were taping each other.
And remember all those boys thought Jackson was their celebrity friend and loved hanging out with him and do what he asks. It was only after he dumped them when they aged out of their "boys body" and become teenagers that they started suspecting something was not right. And even then everyone were ashamed to say something like that and knew no one would believe them anyway since he was such a mega star. And only after times changed and things like this started to be talked about - some finally found the courage to speak up.
It is not natural for adult man to pick up small boys like they are stray dogs and starting hanging out with them. Then kicking them out once they grow a little and replace them with new small boys. He was what people claim he is.
It's not natural for a man to literally be the most famous, recognizable person on earth, having not known life without fame since about 11 yrs old. Nor is it natural for one to have grown up in an uber-religious family of Jehovah's Witnesses, where they weren't even permitted to celebrate birthdays or Christmases. It's also not natural for a person embodying these qualities to have had more money than they knew what to do with. Certain people shouldn't be viewed in the context of what's typically considered "normal".
Many of the songs he's most famous for are lyrically akin to something you'd only hear in Christian rock. Songs about not engaging in violence (Beat It, Bad) and giving to charity (Man in the Mirror). The guy put a warning before his Thriller video about how it's not condoning the occult because his religious beliefs caused him to worry about such a stupid thing. He'd had deals made with organizations to have busloads of sick and underprivileged shipped to his theme park on a regular basis. He had hospital beds placed in his home theater so kids stuck in bed could watch the big screen with everyone else. While on tour, he spent his free time at children's hospitals. All very unnatural.
As abnormal as this all is, though, it's all consistent with one another. What's not consistent is that this same guy was banging kids, something of which there's no evidence of whatsoever other than a very small group of questionable accusers. One which settled out of court, another which was in a family of known con-artists, and some who came out of the woodwork long after the fact.
His mistake was trusting all these people in his home to not take advantage of him. Any of which who, even now, can pop out of the woodwork with the rest and simply say, with zero evidence, that they were molested and instantly have everyone believe it and start throwing cash at them for interviews, appearances, and book deals (not to mention loads of rubes calling them "brave").
His fans naive and want to believe their idol is innocent. But the truth is he is probably guilty. What kind of proofs do you want I dont know. Did you expect 10 years old boys to install giant hidden camera in the 80-th somewhere to film him? LOL.
There was more that 2 accusers. And there was an adult man who took 10 years old random boys and started taking them everywhere with him and live in his house while parents were left behind. Then kicked them out like trash once they aged out of being cute little boys. And there is only one reason for that.
Not only that but he was ashole. He told those boys he was their best friend forever. He played with them, made them feel like his little princes. Then one day kicked them out with no explanation and replaced them with new best friend forever - new boy who was touring with him. And those boys were sitting home, watching him loving someone else and not understanding what they did wrong and why he dumped them.
What kind of "proofs" do I want? lol How about any. Just as I do with any other accusation these mobs mindlessly rally behind. Just as I do with anything in general, for that matter. Because that's how critical thinking works. That's how science and law work. Sorry, but him just being weird isn't going to cut it. Despite everyone's best efforts, this isn't Salem quite yet.
And I'm not sure what universe others were living in, but I grew up repeatedly hearing talk shows, comedians, radio hosts, tabloids, the news, documentaries, etc repeatedly go against this guy (from the 90s to today). From my perspective, having not delved into the case then, people spoke so confidently and regularly of his guilt that I always thought it was just a matter of fact. So to hear people act like his privileged celebrity status got him out of trouble seems somewhat laughable. Heck, even after he decided to take the pain-in-the-ass route of taking that second accuser to a months-long, highly publicized trial, rather than settling (because everyone acted as if that was an indicator of guilt), and got that not guilty verdict, all of the aforementioned mob continued to paint him as guilty anyway. Because people clearly just believe what they want to believe, evidence be damned.
If anything, it's the man's celebrity that kept this narrative going. There's just too much money, clicks, and/or notoriety in making an accusation against him or publishing a rumor about him. And with thousands of children (and their families) coming to his house every year, it's hardly surprising that some capitalized on this reputation and the media's neverending salivation for a juicy "I got molested" story.
Like them, you've clearly already decided what you want to believe just because... I dunno? Your gut feeling? Your unwavering trust in randos who say stories? Anything but evidence, really. Because, again, there’s none of that. So let’s just default to our chosen faith, eh?
Again - what kind of evidence you expect 10 years old children? Inserting huge hidden camera in their pockets?
If crime was not filmed for everyone to see it doesnt mean it didnt happen. If no one caught you stealing something it doesnt mean its not a crime and you can steal.
Thats why this cancel culture started. So they can punish and cancel celebrities who commited crimes against women and children and got away with it because victims were afraid to speak up because they dont have proofs since abuser didnt record themselves commiting crime.
Your evidence is that your idol brought 10 years random children to live with him in his house and on tour and then replacing them once they aged out. Its wasnt one boy, it wasnt two. This is why no one spoke up when he was in heights of his fame. Because no one would believe them because he was so famous and powerful and his fans would attack victims.
Very true - every claim put forth against him has something fishy connected to it, and involves the accusers wanting money.
Unfortunately he set a bit of a precedent with his payment to Jordy Chandler, and that opened the doors for more people wanting to cash in. The Arvizo case was an absolute farce (which he was completely acquitted for), and Wade/Safechuck didn't even have the balls to pull their scheme when he was alive.
This concept that MJ was apparently so confident that Wade would lie for him under oath, and was willing to put his entire life on the line for him to testify, is totally absurd. What actually makes sense? Wade was telling the truth then, and only decided to concoct his nonsense once MJ was dead and he was being shunned by his estate for things like the Cirque du Soleil show.
Every single case is like this, with clear motives for deceit.
One set of rules for the working class, another for the elite. Let's not play dumb. It took the advent of the internet, then social media, then various movements within social media, to get the likes of Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby anywhere near a jail cell.
If people had stopped buying Michael Jackson records, that would have meant a lot of money off the table for a lot of people.
One of the big unanswered questions about Jackson has been: Where did his money go? He was broke-ass broke in his last years!
Obviously he overspent, but my unproveable theory is that he also paid out fortunes to lawyers, fixers, outraged parents, young men who were getting counter-offers from the media, and bribes to public officials. That sort of thing will go through tens of millions of dollars a lot faster than shopping sprees and zoo animals.
His money was poorly managed. If he had really molested Wade Robson, he would have been paying off their home not letting them live in a shitty apartment.
If by poorly managed, you mean buying outrageous toys, rides, and animals to lure children, and then the inevitable bribes, payoffs, settlements, and lawyer & court costs to keep employees and molested sick children quiet, then yes, that would be poorly managed. Unless you know of some investment that crashed, thats literally what did it. But his only investments in music licensing probably kept him afloat since his music really sucked after all the talented people around him started to get weirded out by his behavior and stopped making good songs for him.
Well obviously his money was poorly managed, everyone knows that, the only thing left to argue about is the details of the mismanagement. Did he really throw it all away on fripperies and luxuries, was it embezzled, or did some of it go for darker purposes???
Back when Jackson was alive and the rumors were swirling away, he got off of several hooks because the parents of his favorite little boys had dubious backgrounds, so when the accusations came his supporters could say that the whole thing was obviously a shakedown (as if the children of criminals could never be targeted by a pedo). So non-supporters were saying that Jackson had learned to only target the children of people who wouldn't be considered credible witnesses, if the case ever came to court.
So if that was true, and it was true in Robson's case... how exactly did Jackson learn that lesson??????
The Arzivos targeted any celebrity they could for a shakedown. They got 20k from a kind hearted woman so they could build a container room for Gavin to recover from cancer and they spent it on a tv and other things instead.
Jay Leno even got a call from Gavin looking to embed himself in Jays life.
The arvizo claim is that after the World found out about the friendship, Michael jacked him off one night.
That's it.
They whole thing was just absurd and the jury thankfully saw them as the gold diggers they were.
