I heard she was really difficult to work with, but...

then I read a quote from her, on IMDB, I think.

She basically said she takes her work very seriously, loves what she does, and does not have time for unprofessionalism. She also does not have time for people who don't put in the work.

I think that's what she said. Good for her.

She very publically called out her boss on Grey's Anatomy as she said she didn't want to be considered for awards one season as she wasn't given good enough material. This is the sign of a narcissist and someone nobody wants to work with, not someone dedicated to their craft.

reply

So you take any award, whether you earned it or not? And SHE is narcist?

reply

No, publically disqualifing herself and putting her writers on blast is what makes her the egomaniac/narcissist/pick your term. Not simply submitting herself is fine if that's the way she feels. Putting out the statement the way she did tells all you need to know about her.

Considering several old co-stars and other Hollywood folk have called out KH for her behaviour, I'd say there's at least some truth to the rumours. I'm not sure if her mother still manages her career, but she pissed off many crew members and studio executives with her demands for her daughter. By all accounts, she was a nightmare to deal with behind the scenes.

Before anyone claims that actors never get called out for being difficult, read up on Alex Pettyfer, Val Kilmer and Edward Norton. Their diva behaviour cost them in the end. Male or Female, you deserve criticism if you start throwing your weight around. I'm sick and tired of women getting called strong and empowered for displaying shitty behaviour. A bitch is a bitch.

does not have time for unprofessionalism

Publicly sitting on the people that made you a household name isn't professional. At all. If an actress has managed to piss off Judd Apatow, a big supporter of women in the industry, it's clear she has a problem. If an actress goes from starring in #1 hits at the US box office to a Cat commercial in the span of a few years, it's clear she has a problem.

thumbs up to your post...seriously i couldnt have said it better

I think that by now when a female actress is accused of being "hard to work with," that means she didn't sleep with a director or producer.

You may be right.
