Are there a certain amount of stages you need to go through from the first name to Richard Harris? I counted yours above and it's four stages, not six (I'm a brit and we never really played this game - I think it's more of an American thing?) Anyway, I was just going to say that you don't need the Alec Guinness - Harrison Ford bit - Alec Guiness starred alongside Richard in "Cromwell" - I love that film!!

The game is a spin-off of "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon," in which you try to connect a certain actor to Kevin Bacon in six or less steps.

So, for instance, Otto Preminger would be:

Otto Preminger ---> William Holden (Stalag 17)
William Holden ---> Alec Guiness (Bridge Over the River Kwai)
Alec Guinness ---> Harrison Ford (Star Wars)
Harrison Ford ---> Gary Oldman (Air Force One)
Gary Oldman ---> Kevin Bacon (JFK)

Yup, I'd heard of the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon game (from American friends), but assumed you had to do it in exactly 6 steps. Thanks for clearing up that it's 6 steps or less - so my original comment stands that you don't need the bits after Alec Guinness, since he starred with Harris in Cromwell.

Was confused but now I can see!!

p.s. I'm also no good at this game at all - just didn't get the practice as a child here in England - I wonder why we don't/didn't play it?!
