You Tube-The Yard Went On Forever-For the Victims
In the 60's Richard Harris enjoyed a unique relationship with one of the best American song writers this country has ever produced, Jimmy Webb (Wichita Lineman, By the Time I get to Phoenix, Highway Men, etc.). While not the greatest of singers, Webb's songs somehow worked wonderfully well for Harris's limited vocal range and the era in which he chased those notes.
Found a video version of The Yard Went On Forever, it's quite moving as the images mirror what Webb was doing with lyrics. Very beautifully done. If you're a fan of either artist check it out.
