Did he ever write an Auto-biography?

Did he ever write an auto-biography? Because he told some wild stories on talk shows, like the time he was being shot at by Greeks and Turks during peace keeping in the British Army on Cyprus.

No, he didn't write his own biograhpy. He wrote poems and published at least one book (I don't know if others are published, too) "I, in the membership of my days", first published at Random House New York, 1973.

But there are a few biographies about Richard Harris, written by different authors. Most recommendable: Michael Feeney Callan "Richard Harris - Sex, death & the movies" An intimate biography, first published at Robson Books London, 2003.

Others: Gus Smith "Richard Harris – Actor by accident", first published at Robert Hale Ltd. London, 1990.
Michael Feeney Callan "Richard Harris – A sporting life", first published at Sidgwick & Jackson Ltd. London, 1990.
Cliff Goodwin: "Behaving badly - The life of Richard Harris 1930 - 2002", first published at Virgin Books, London, 2003.

The books on Harris are pretty average to poor. He personally requested friends not to speak to Feeney-Callen whose book is simply a cut and paste job. Dublin journalist Joe Jackson has written the best articles ever on Harris (Hot Press/Irish Times) Joe was a person friend (he also did the last radio interview with him which was excellent.

Joe will be publishing the definative biography (with the assistance of Richard's sons)at some time in the not too distant future
