Law + Order SVU 11/1 episode

I really didn't know who this woman was until she popped up on tonight's episode of L & O. They wrote an awesome part for her and there just may be an Emmy nod in it for her. I was totally surprised at the twist at the end of the episode. She was totally convincing the whole entire episode.

She does one heck of a southern accent and from what I see here on IMDB, she's not from the south. I'm from Florida and I know good accents when I hear them and she did a good job on this one.

Thanks for that performance tonight Marcia. I hope to see more of you.

I agree. Marcia is an amazing actress, and I hope she continues to work well into her elder years.

Yes, she was incredible! I was blown away by both her convincing accent and terrific performance and I was reminded of why I like her so much. I also thought she was great in Meet Joe Black, among other roles. She has a way of just BECOMING the character, flaws and all, that few can convey on-screen quite like she can. Wonderful, Marcia! BRAVO!

I completely agree with all of you. I was watching the episode and even though I love her as an actor, she was just so convincing. I kept looking at my husband and saying, "No, I really like her. Really I do." I had to say it out loud because she was just that good. I hope she gets an Emmy nod for this guest appearance as well.

When she stood up in the courtroom during the arraignment...wow...she's got it!

Talk about one excellent part, i don't know who else auditoned but she was oscar winning there. the way she was sooooooo racist to all and disrespectful she deserves to win it. As a fan of hers i thought her character was just awful but the twist at the end was great. she is an excellent actress and should be reconized for her great work on the show.

I just watch her SVU, I thought she did a good job playing a undercover FBI agent.

I've never been a HUGE fan of Marcia's and hadn't really followed her work that closely... until I saw Mystic River, and thought she was amazing. This episode of SVU was on here in Australia last week and I didn't even REALIZE it was her, she was that good. I came here to see who played Star/Dana, because it was such a great performance, and was amazed to find it was MGH. She was so convincing I didn't even know it was her!

Marcia Gay Harden is one of the best actresses of our time not only that shes been part of some of the best movies and to see her on tv was a pleasure. She has a grace and a strength and those things never seem to go together. I'm a huge fan and an even bigger supporter. I heart her.

I agree with your assessment of her performance in the SVU episode. I knew I recognized her, but I couldn't remember her name.

Her accent and her hate-filled comments were great. Then finally, the twist ending? All in all, a fine episode and a great actor.

I don't know if she was even nominated for an Emmy, but hell, she should have won.
