Fred Gwynne died at age 66 in Maryland, just short of his 67th birthday. My Cousin Vinny (1992) was his last film role. He was 6 feet 5 inches (1.96 m) tall.

He would want you to remember him for his most beloved character Herman Munster. it was the highlight of his career and the most notable thing he ever achieved.

I know he was in a lot of things, but I really remember him from The Boy Who Could Fly (1986).
