Joseph Fiennes Welcomes a Daughter

Joseph Fiennes and his wife, Swiss model Maria Dolores Dieguez, welcomed their first child a daughter on Monday, Mar. 8th, his rep tells PEOPLE exclusively.

Joseph, the brother of Ralph and the star of Shakespeare in Love and ABCs FlashForward, married the former Miss Switzerland contestant last summer in Tuscany.

They announced the pregnancy last fall, saying they were utterly thrilled.
