This is not a hate post & please don't misunderstand me. I'm NOT saying he's a bad actor. I think he's an excellent actor. He ESPECIALLY shines in dramatic roles
He's been in some good comedies But I honestly just don't think he's funny.
He’s likeable, more than funny. He’s almost the straight man to his comedic side kicks and gags.

shareHe was quite funny when i was a teenager, it is cringey to watch his comedies as a grown man. At this point Sandler is likely a billionaire and makes movies for a hobby. I assume the target audience is Joe Sixpack.

shareHmmm…I’d say he’s more likable than funny. What I find endearing about him is that he feels like “the funny guy” in your group of high school or college friends. In other words, he doesn’t come across as a celebrity, and more closely resembles someone that you might have been friends with.
That being said, I don’t find his more recent comedies nearly as entertaining anymore, but I can still watch the older material with a sense of nostalgia that can still entertain.
What’s interesting is that he feels much more funny to me nowadays in his dramatic roles than his comedic roles.
