She attended David's memorial service.

I have never seen the pic, but many fans of the show have posted comments stating his nephew Jack posted a pic of him and her online. I am not surprised. Despite whatever rift occurred long ago, they were friends and costars once. Her attendance is the considerate thing to do. I wonder who Jack's dad is? Is he in the entertainment business ? I wonder if Danny , Jeremy, or Brian were able to attend? Or even Suzanne or Dave's family? It is possible Susan and David made peace before he passed. Then again , it' s their business.

Was there a rift? I saw a video of Susan and David together on stage and she gave him a big kiss and she said she loved him.

I think I saw clips of that,but never heard the audio. In '94 he wrote his first memoir, detailing their brief romance, only he detailed it in a disrespectful way. Too much info if you know what I mean. Even I was shocked and shook my head. Although his books were interesting. His dad was a real jerk. Anyhow, Susan stopped talking to him.

Yeah she stopped talking to him after the book. Prior at an awards show they did appear to get along. He apprently jilted her when they were on the show together and the book was probably the last straw for their friendship. Nice that she attended the memorial.

I agree the book might have been "the straw that broke the camel's back". He should have been more tactful. However, I do respect him for being honest stating he preferred wilder women at that time in his life. Then again you have to wonder if fate had been different and they married down the road, would it have lasted? David did have a lot of personal demons in his life, but who doesn't?

I read in his book David introduced Susan to her first husband as a possible agent. I think he was surprised they got married. But he also stated during the PF days, at 18, Susan was briefly involved with a 40 year old crew member. Maybe she preferred older guys.

I read about it. Seems she was upset David mentioned they hooked up, but I thought he was kind of complimentary toward her. He said she was too wholesome for him compared to the trash he usually hooked up with. I'm not Susan but I don't think I would be offended by what he said unless she was embarrassed it became known that she and David hooked up at all.

It is possible she wanted that to remain private. Let's hope she writes a memior. But she might not mention dating him, oh well. On the other hand, she did hint they dated on This Is your Life, when David was being roasted. It was a subtle reference. They were quite affectionate, when she gave him a gift on the show. I saw the segment in a YT clip. It even had me going hmm? Both were married at that time. But you can love someone dearly as a friend. Regarding David liking wild gals, he also dated Meredith Baxter Birney in the early 70's, she does not hit me as wild, but who knows. I wonder if he was shocked when she came out as a lesbian? I also wonder if they stayed friends? I read her memoir as well. She talks briefly about their romamce.

I'm with you I would not have been offended either. It was a compliment. It is possible she forgave him years later. In his caption at the memorial, Jack Cassidy did mention catching up with a family friend. I am assuming they made peace.

In an old interview around 2006-7, he was promoting his books in Australia. He stated she was one of his few female friends where he could be himself. I can imagine the remorse he must have felt, but time moves on, and he probably accepted her attitude.
