The Most Ordinary Actress Ever In Movies

Embeth Davidtz, the most annoying actress in movies, with the most annoying name ever on the screen.

I don't get it, in Fracture and in Junebug, other characters referring to how "pretty" she is. I don't see it. To me she seems plain and unremarkable.

Everyone has actors or actresses who they wonder, who hires these people, who likes them, how do they keep working in movies. Embeth Davidtz is mine.

Ever seen 'Matilda' or 'Bicentennial Man'?

No, was she in those? Just a matter of taste, everyone has those performers, the ones who just do absolutely nothing for them. For me, it is Embeth.

reply

Yes, she was in those. She was also in 'Schindler's List'.

Those for me are her outstanding movies she's been in. Apart from that, I agree with you; she's ordinary.

Oh it isn't that she hasn't been in some good movies. It is just that she is nothing special. I thought Fracture was great, she was the low point.

There are so many girls and women trying to get into movies who are struggling. It is hard to believe that many of them are not better looking, charismatic, and more talented. Yet Embeth Davidtz gets work. It's just me who sees her as a movie-nothing, I know.

In regards to your Junebug comment, they were referring to her as pretty because she was compared to most the people they know. Anyway, I think she's a great actress and she is very beautiful in an ordinary way, however oxymoronic that sounds.

I can understand your posted title...

I remember seeing "Bicentennial Man", "Army of Darkness", "Schindler's List" and bits of "Matilda" and not really remembering her because she was 'just an ordinary, pretty (she's not ugly, that's for sure) face'.

.. I'm just impressed with her being able to pull off an American accent ("Bicentennial Man" and "Matilda" are the ones I've seen with the American accent)... and there's something in her voice that I'm recognizing NOW, that I find very relaxing.

Then there's "Schindler's List" (which I can only watch once in a while, it's too intense for me).. I don't know much about Polish accents, but I thought she did fine... I just couldn't stand the violence done to her... well, the violence throughout the movie.. again, the entire movie is just too intense for me.

I think she's gorgeous. But what do her looks have to do with her being an actress? If she has talent, she should have a career. Right?

I am SO sick and tired of inane comments like the title of this post that infest the boards on this website.

Is she really THE most ordinary actress EVER in the movies -- all over the world -- in 120+ years of cinema history?
