I heard a inside source tell a certain African american magazine that cube, believes, and agrees, with alot of what the Republicans have to say.

The modern day Republican Party has this to say:

We must go to war with middle eastern nations who oppose the United States, even if they don't have the means of attacking us.

- Ice Cube, at least in his songs, is against the war and even equates George W. Bush to Saddam Hussein.

He and Don King had dinner and dicussed how to involve more african americans in the republican party.

Ask yourself this question, how does promoting the Republican party to African Americans help Ice Cube's career? It doesn't, period. The Republican Party is anti rap, despite many Republican voters listening to rap. The Republican Party is well funded by the Christian Right, who hold Ice Cube somewhere between Michael Moore and Satan. Cube would give you and me a million dollars before he would throw his hat into the Republican Party.

How does being a Republican help Don King? That's easy. The majority of Don King's consumer base in America is not only White, but also conservative on law enforcement. With King's well known mob connections, going Republican is a good way to get boxing fans to forget that he was ever a button man for the Cleveland Mob.

mike tyson contacted Cube because Tyson was promoting Steele in Md.

Tyson was promoting Steele in Maryland, or Steel's campaign team bought Tyson? What platform did Tyson emphasize on his stump for Steele? Tougher law enforcement?

Cube, not a Muslim but a republican.

In reality, he's neither.

Cube's not likely a Democrat, either. He's no fan of Jessie Jackson. And, maybe Cube is a Republican in regards to being fiscally conservative (allthough I've never heard him take a fiscally conservative political stance, I'm just assuming he doesn't enjoy seeing half of his paychecks go to taxes..), and may be conservative on some social issues, I'll guess abortion being that the majority of Blacks are against abortion. But the modern day Republican Party, controlled by a neo-conservative lobby and agenda, is about as close to Ice Cube's ideology, personality, and way of life as Rosie O Donnell is to looking like Beyonce.

Cube is a political independent, and a great entertainer. I'd just learn to deal with it and not get your hopes up on seeing Cube joining hands with The Terminator on stage at the '08 Republican Convention.

If your referring to Iraq, they surely had the means to attack us!

Can't Tyson like where Steele stands on the issues or do all blacks have to follow the rank and file blacks? If they are found to be republicans they are then called uncle Toms....ie: Clarence Thomas!

So Don is a Republican because he wants them to forget about his Mob ties???
How misguided is that?!!

I read about Cube in a black publication....then they had it wrong..not me!

Stop spreading rumors...and don't give me this excuse "I read it somewhere!" Cube has been accused of being a sellout before, yes, but a Republican? This is the same cat who used to praise Farrakhan in some of his songs, and you think he's suddenly gonna turn around and become a Republican? Like Downlau has pointed out, hip-hop = f!ck Republicans, Republicans = f!ck hip-hop. Republicans (and anyone on the right) are our biggest enemy.

Uhm, I don't know what cave you've been in the last 3 years, but this theory has been debunked, and the reasons for war have been changed twice since by the commander in chief.

Can't Tyson like where Steele stands on the issues or do all blacks have to follow the rank and file blacks?

I asked you specifically what issues? That was the whole point of my statement, and my sarcasm, because it would certainly be interesting if Tyson supported Steele because he was tough on crime, being that Mike is a perpetual law breaker.

If they are found to be republicans they are then called uncle Toms

Those are your words...

....ie: Clarence Thomas!

The majority of Blacks believe that Justice Thomas does not represent their views. Why do you believe this is?

So Don is a Republican because he wants them to forget about his Mob ties???

I didn't say that's the only reason. I just said that it's a possible reason. Don King is a business man. "It's not about Black or White, it's about Green!". Would it be that crazy, considering that quote, to think that maybe the reason he touts for Republicans and the Iraq war is to appease boxing fans, in which, the ones that fork out that money for his ppv events, are typically white conservatives?

How misguided is that?!!

It's not misguided at all. It's guided on King, his overall image, his history, and his sudden shilling for Republicans after 9/11.

I read about Cube in a black publication....then they had it wrong..not me!

Until you give us the name of the publication, it is in fact YOU that got it wrong.
