I'll always be confused why he's not an A-lister. Every turn of his is inspired. He brings life to his characters. I've had the privilege of working on a film of his, and I know him to be a good person from my admittedly brief experience. I just don't understand it... He's like a Joel McCrea, explosively talented and never given the proper films to cement his name as one of the greatest. In my opinion, anyway.

Lucky you. I'll watch him in anything, even movies WAY out of my usual tastes, so I'd love to see him in more. (But he keeps busy enough that my BC library is decent.)

The Joel McCrea comparison is interesting because he is not physically imposing and has done few roles like that.

I understand the point.

I agree he definitely should've been bigger than he got.
