Geordi or Kunta Kinte?

Kunta Kinte, Geordi was a bit boring.

Geordi, but I've never watched "Roots".

I was in grade school when Roots came out. I remember my father watching the whole miniseries but I only saw bits and pieces of it. Despite that and the fact I watched a lot of TNG I will always think of him more from Roots since that was the very first time I saw him. When TNG started he was the only member of the cast I recognized.

Oh Kunta Kinte was a better and more dramatic role. No comparison.

I'm a big Star Trek fan, but his character Geordi is stuck behind his glasses which are like a face shield and it kinda kills the character's dramatic options. He's more of a prop on Star Trek.

Dummy

This one role Lavar portrayed has always stuck with me. I think it was a CBS TV movie that came out in 1979. I saw it in my high school mass media class years later (my teacher had it on a bootleg VHS).

I've always wanted to see it again.
