i can't remember the name of a movie he was in...

i'm pretty sure he played a character named after himself, and he was supposed to be writing a book, but by the end of it, he had only written like 5 pages. the whole movie was basically about him going around, doing his research for this book....but unfortunately, that's all i can remember, and i don't think it's listed here on the website (which is crazy, because i've never failed to find a movie on here.
it'd be great if anyone could help me out!

Well, Looking For Comedy In The Muslim World had him playing himself and he was sent to India to do research for the government on what makes Muslims laugh. At the end, he had only written about 5 pages of what was supposed to be a several hundred page report. So, I would say that's the closest to what you've described. Hope that helps.

OMG, i think that was it! thanks!
i couldn't find it because it isn't listed under the movies he's done as an ACTOR. it is, however, listed as something that he wrote.
