Why the last name Einstein?

On Harry Parke's page, his "Sometime Credited As" list gives Einstein as a last name. Probably his real last name.

I'm intrigued.

I'm from Germany, and I can assure you, that Einstein is not a very common name in Germany. There are about 20 Einsteins listed in German phone books (just checked that online), although there might be a few more not listed. Since this is a Jewish name, it might be more common in Israel nowadays.
