It's been 7 years...we need another Albert Brooks gem!!

I think that it's not time to direct another until he finishes writing another. So I'd guess were dealing with writer's block rather than director's block.

You're right! Hopefully he'll both write and direct another film soon!

Now it's been 10 years. Can't believe he hasn't directed a film in the last decade.

He lost his writing muse in 2010 when Monica Johnston died. They were a great team.
