"Gigli" is the only one of his movies that doesn't have a 7.0 or higher on IMDb. Did he really quit because of one bad movie?

That or he simply was shunned by the major studios. Look at Wolfgang Petersen. He was a popular go-to director for blockbusters in the '90s and 2000s. Until his Poseidon Adventure remake flopped. That was in 2006 and he hasn't directed a Hollywood film since.

Ikr? Damn shame, he was one of the better go-to directors-for-hire of that time.

Maybe he's been working on the Gigli 2 script.
