I know this reply is way late and you'll most likely never even see it, but I figured I'd answer anyway just in case.
I'm currently reading her book, and in one of the chapters she mentions that in 1992 she and then boyfriend Edward James Olmos were actively involved in Bill Clinton's presidential campaign and that she very much believed in Clinton/Gore.
She is also really good friends with both Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar which definitely leads me to believe that Lorraine is a Democrat.
EDIT: Later in the book she goes on to say that she has always been a lifelong Democrat.
