Underrated Actress

Lisa is one of the most underused underrated actresses in Hollywood, I would love to see her in a witty insightful romantic comedy with Charisma Carpenter portraying her best friend or rival and someone like Dean Cain as the love interest. I hate seeing talented people sitting in creative limbo. Maybe she could do a film about being an actress to show everyone what it is like to be an African American woman in show business.

She is amazingly beautiful and not to mention a very good actress. I can't understand why she has done so few a movies . Is it becoz she is black. I don't know ? I would really love to know! I mean it pains me to see such a beautiful and talented actress not making the most of her talents. I loved her in angel heart!

You know, fishercherrlyn, I agree with what you said. When I saw a preview of one of the movies she starred in that made Bill Cosby angry (Angel Heart) on a "That's Black Entertainment" show on PBS, she was shown at a cemetary with a child. There were other scenes that showed voodoo and witchcraft rituals. I would've turned down the part just to save my reputation. However, despite this, she was the most creative actress I have ever seen.

its a shame she is still most famous for being on the Cosby Show. Thats the backlash of being on a successful TV show. If she was never on the Cosby show she would have got better acting gigs. I'm glad she got to do films like Angel Heart and Bank Robber where she broke that typcast mold.
