Let remember the show is a family, not about race. You have to look beyond the race issue/ light skin/ dark skin sterotype.

I always wondered about that too both the parents being as darh as they are and having 2 mulatto daughters (her and saundra, but its not that important its just a tv show, plus I do know some poeple who are just naturally light skinned with two dark skinned parents

both Cosby parents are dark, but the mom looks mixed like a creole person or from the carribeans. Mr. Cosby himself doesn't look 100% black african, so if both parents have a little bit of something else in their blood, it's VERY possible for them to make a very light skinned child. sometimes you can be black as night, have a largest nose on the planet and look like you're straight up from from central Africa, the fact that you have even 1/16th of white, in the future it can come out… and that's why some black families have light skinned and green eyed children, and some white couple have an olive skinned child with really really really curly hair.
