I hope this is a joke... Like, seriously...
First, she and her husband were the artistic directors of Sydney Theater Company for what, 7 years? She has been rather outspoken about Australia and its talent and if I remember correctly, she dedicated good share of her second Oscar speech to Australia.
Second, she is a movie star. Yes, TV is more prominent these days and more stars are migrating to TV screens but there is still wide gap between big and small screens. It is normal that the actress of her caliber doesn't work on TV.
Lastly, she does work with Australians. She worked with Richard Roxborough, Hugo Weaving, she is shooting "Thor" partly in Australia.
So, you can argue many things but that she doesn't care for Australia is quite the stretch.
