What does Christmas mean to you Shane?

Watched The Nice Guys over the weekend and man it was a great film. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is still better in my eyes, but that film is a damn near masterpiece. I couldn't help but notice that The Nice Guys ends with Christmas in a Mexican restaurant which made me go hmmm since Kiss Kiss Bang Bang had a heavy Christmas element to it and thinking even harder, so did Iron Man 3. All interesting because they aren't your typical Christmas settings, warm cozy house, snow, presents, family, etc. Instead, these scenes, by contrast, are very different; drinking at a Mexican restaurant in the middle of the day, at an LA party filled with sex and drugs, and well in Iron Man, I think it was more of a backdrop (saw the film once and that was enough for me), but set in a superhero universe. It is interesting to see this motif carry through all of Black's film. I wonder if Christmas represents something very personal to him. It is interesting to think about.
