A beauty pageant would surely measure it's contestants beforehand and if they say Berry is 5'7" who are you and I to doubt them?
what makes you think they measured her?? did they measure you at the DMV before you got your driver's license?? cuz they didn't measure me or anyone I know here in VA.

Beauty pageants are based on looks and the organisers would want to know their contestants actual heights when they announce them.
But there is no height requirement for Miss usa Miss america or any of those beauty pageants. Halle filled out an info sheet and put down 5'7 herself. Thats why she is announced as such. They are just reading what she wrote down. They did not measure her. Do you think they check to see if you are a real blonde too??
