Did she forget she is half white?

What is up with her view on race and being black or white or having a black or white daughter? Did she forget both her AND her daughter are part of each race? What is so wrong with straightening the daughters hair when she has been seen on the red carpet with straight hair herself? It's a style not a RACE, besides, her daughter IS actually 3/4 white making her actually more white than black so what is so wrong with learning about both sides to her own ethnicity. Look at the OBAMA children. They too are mixed and they have their hair straightened and they aren't trying to become white or "more white." They are girls who are doing their hair for crying out loud. I wonder how Halle Berry's MOTHER feels about her disowning one entire half of her entire racial background. Halle has made race a big issue for many years. I wonder why she hates white people and her own mother so much and if she has such a problem with white people, why did Halle create a human life with a white person, wait, let alone two white men at this point.

If my 10 year old daughters hair had been altered in any way without my consent I would be furious. Race aside Aubry had no right to do that.

And Halle Berry is an adult. She can straighten her hair if she chooses. That has nothing to do with her daughter.

And i'm pretty sure that Barack and Mishelle made the joint decision to allow their daughters to have straightened hair.

And Halle's mother actually encouraged her to view herself as black. It's not a special case. Lots of mixed race people choose to solely identify with their black side. Some choose to identity as white too. And when Halle Berry was growing up things were very different to how they are now. In some parts of america if you looked black you were black.

And I don't agree with a lot of Halle's actions but to assume that Halle hates her mother and white people is just silly.

Why would a mother have any more rightful authority over the daughters hair than the father? That's pretty one sided for 2 parents who both took equal part in creating a human being in the first place and are both 50/50 equal share in raising the child. I think that's pretty messed up to say that only the mother has authority in a child's hair and the father has no say and has to ask the mother before doing anything with HIS own child!

Sorry but that still doesn't give Aubry any right to change his daughters hair. If it's 50/50 then you make decisions together. Especially if your separated.

It's not about her having more authority. Parents need to discuss things together when it comes to children's hair. A lot of parents (especially those of african decent) don't let their children chemically alter their hair until they are old enough to make their own decisions. And Aubry didn't even tell Halle what he'd done. That is messed up.

Halle was in the wrong for trying to take Nhala to Paris. And Aubry is in the wrong for this. It's not that hard to understand. They both appear to be self-centred and the only one I have any sympathy for in all this is Nahla.
