Stop playing sick, dying men in depressing dramas, Javier!

He did it first in 'Before Night Falls'. He did it again in 'The Sea Inside'. He did it once again in 'Biutiful'. He's the best Spanish actor there is, but he needs to stop taking these roles of terminal patients in these slow, depressing dramas.

Can't think of anybody better to pull off those roles. The Sea Inside was the role of a lifetime, even if it was about the search for death and not him dying in bed slowly (was handicapped) and Before Night Falls isn't all about him dying. It's another successful biopic of a Cuban poet.

He plays all kinds of roles. He certainly wasn't sick and dying in No Country For Old Men, Goya's Ghost, Vicki Christina Barcelona, and Eat, Pray, Love. Maybe he did Biutiful for a change of pace. Lol

3 sick & dying roles in 10 years is more than enough.

Maybe for a successful and respected actor ike you, but apparently not for a successful and respected actor like Javier. He calls the shots on what he likes to do. He makes movies that are important to him.

I respect his choices. No one has to watch him play someone sick and dying if they don't want to.

I thought I was the only one that noticed it...I almost dont want to even see the previews of his films, let alone actually watch them all the way...

Why should he ?
