Tom Arnold is Awesome! (Outlasted Rosanne)

I know a lot of people seem to write off Arnold as a nobody without being married to Rosanne... but the guy seems to have lasted. He's funny as heck and an all-around good person.

I especially respect him for facing his demons and telling others about it.

I know I may get bashed for being a fan, but I don't see what's wrong with liking his work. From True Lies to Happy Endings, he's a talented guy. It's been almost 20 years. Can we let the Rosanne thing go?

I agree. Whether in interviews or in movies, Tom's always been funny and entertaining. Even if he's not cracking a joke, he's got a way of communicating his thoughts that makes him seem smarter than a lot of comedians (i.e., articulate). And his IMDB bio says in 1988 he "entered the Minneapolis Comedy Competition and won first place". That was before meeting Rosanne, so it shows he had the stuff before he met her.

I just listened to his interview with Adam Carolla on Carolla's podcast and it was great. Even though he was trashed and kicked to the curb by Rosanne, he still shows respect for her and doesn't diss her like most ex's do nowadays.

Why do people have such an issue with the guy? It seems like everyone loves to cast stones.

Yea because Rosanne has that Oscar from She Devil right? Tom Arnold is actually pretty funny in stuff like Happy Endings with Steve Coogan, Lisa Kudrow and others. No matter how you look at it, Tom has had more longevity than Rosanne.
