I don't get it. He has no talent and no appeal. I can't help but think he's a real jerk pretending to be a nice guy. He gives me the creeps. There is simply nothing about him that makes me want to see him in anything. To be fair, most of what he acts in are not movies that appeal to me. Still, he keeps working. Unbelievable.

It depends on how you see success. Paris Hilton is more famous and far richer than us but I wouldn't call her successful.
shareJust got done watching True Lies, he was great in that. Im sure this guy sucks in the eyes of a lot of people due to his past but I think the guy is a good actor.

I love vulgarity as much as the next guy, but I give big kudos to Tom Arnold for choosing a number of roles in feel good movies when he could have taken the low and easy road and starred in Happy Madison Adam Sandler crap.
sharebefore TRUE LIES he was a joke. married to rosanne who did everything for him, include bought him two of his own sitcoms, jackie thomas & tom, before james cameron did in fact use him well for true lies, which established tom in the biz. his hey-dey didn't last long. mccale's navy wasn't that bad, the stupids was low for landis but showed tom could do character work in a lead role, and big bully provided a creepy factor to his performances... although after 2000 he wasn't in much, just side roles in other people's projects... but he has remained working. the best thing to remember is that true lies wasn't only good for him, it legitimized him from a yoko ono to a hollywood player.
