Golden Globes refuse to give him a nomination for Best Director.

The nominations came out today and he failed to get a nomination for Best Director. That makes his total: 0 nominations. He did get his first nomination in the screenplay category.

On the bright side, he did get a nomination for best director at the Critics Choice Awards, which were also announced today.

reply

But why the Golden Globes gotta hate?

reply

Well, he's a mixed bag as a director, he made some good movies(Boogie Night, Magnolia) but also many shitty ones, like the countless Resident Evil sequels...

reply

I hope this is a joke.

reply

you're forgetting The Royal Tenenbaums, which is one of his best

reply

That's a Wes Anderson movie, he sometimes gets confused with Paul Anderson...

reply

Not by me, they have very different styles, and Wes is one of my favorite directors of all time, I was just joking.

reply

LMFAO, THAT IS HILARIOUS!

reply

Yeah makes no sense. I feel like if a film is nommed for best pic so should the director… And his two relatively unknown leads both got nominated… smh

reply

I could understand a film being nominated for Best picture, but not best director, but this keeps happening to him.
