Why did he look like such a slob at the Oscars? It doesn't take long to shave and get a neat haircut.
Well apparently that is something that you do if you want to win an oscar. He was probably copying his mentor Joaquin anyway. If you look like a disheveled drunk the Academy notices that you're "real" and not too LA or something.
