this guy is so underrated it hurts

He reminds me of John Cazale in his choices of roles. Not since Cazale played Fredo in The Godfather has a guy gone where Casey Affleck went for Jesse James. Males just don;t like to explore that side of their natures. A lot of people find those Affleck brothers annoying but I'm not one of them. I enjoy both of them. I occurred to me just now that their mother must have been a big Ben Casey fan.. weird..

I dont think so. Personally i can't stand him. I cant stand his voice - terrible!, i cant stand his looks - not a mainstream actor for sure!
In indie movies is his place, and there he should stay!
In the Assassination of Jesse James he makes a good role, but i don't think there is much of an acting rather that just be himself...

nah I would say he's exactly the same as Leo. Both actors who think they're much much better than they actually are. At least Casey isn't a household name like Leo. Let's hope he stays that way.

heres my opinion on this. sure, casey affleck is not a maninstream actor like leonardo dicaprio for sure but he is someone that is good at small roles. if he was a mainstream actor, hollywood would just turn him into a damn boy toy.

my final verdict: i think that he should stick to supporting roles.

he definitely needs to be in more films. I thought he was superb in Out of the Furnace .

He took a long break after being nominated for an Oscar in 2007. Here's hoping his role in Interstellar gets in a lot more big films!
