Light of my Life

I had been contacted to location scout this new project in Tennessee by Elliot Gaynon. I was under the assumption being a Casey Affleck/Middleton project that I was being hired to locate this one very difficult and specific location for 3-4 weeks of filming knowing that other scouts in other states were also on the same quest.
While I pride myself in finding unusual locations and work very diligently to do so, I amassed over 800 miles of driving, called upon countless favors and connections and scouted my heart out for 7 days only to be told just yesterday after I had exhausted my resources that I was "not to be paid for my time and expenses" because all scouting was done on a pro bono basis unless they actually used a location I had found.
WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE FOR A 40 YEAR VETERAN OF THE FILM INDUSTRY!
I assured Mr. Gaynon that his reputation would precede him; and so it begins....
