I have to agree. He tends to mumble and whisper his lines. Apparently this style is attractive to some people but not me. I don't know what kind of method acting he's doing, but it sucks. Just my opinion.

I think he's one of the best actors of his generation. Always pleased to see him in a film.

Very much agreed. He isn't as laughable as his brother, but still quite cringe-worthy.

I disagree. His performance in "Manchester by the Sea" was fantastic and moving. I also thought he did very well in "The Finest Hours", as well. I'd never really noticed him before, but he's starting to stand out to me. From what I've seen of him lately, he's beginning to emerge as a serious actor...I'd even argue that he might actually be a better actor than his brother.
