Between the hugely popular Everything Everywhere All at Once and the overall failure of The Witcher: Blood Origin, Yeoh hit both ends of the spectrum this year.

shareMaybe, but the “huge hit” is all that really matters isn’t it? Personally I haven’t even of heard of The Witcher movie and didn’t know Michelle starred in it, and I suspect she couldn’t care less about it bombing while she’s busy picking out her Oscars dress.
shareIt’s a series and yes she probably does care. She’ll make more money off a continuing successful big budget series than she will low budget Oscar flicks. Oscar cred fades quickly. Residuals don’t.

Residuals get spent. An Academy Award is eternal.
