I wrote to Antony Penrose, Miller's son and author of the book on which the film is based, and he told me the screenplay writer is progressing very well, and that they hope to release the film in 2018. He also confirmed Kate was committed to play Miller.
I'm very excited about this one. I hope she doesn't turn it down.

Kate´s currently filming The Mountain between us and she´ll be filming until the end of February, so I assume she´ll take a break for some months, and she´ll film this project at the end of 2017 or at the beginning of 2018 with a premiere at the end of 2018, perfect timing for Oscar Season 2019.
Her wild cards for Oscars are Woody Allen project (2017) and Lee Miller project (2018). So I´d say she´ll garner at least two more nominations before she hits 50 y.o, that´d be 9 nominations, quite close to Bette Davis´ ones.
