Remembering Charlie

I keep trying to find this film and can not....has anyone seen it? It would be interesting to see Michael Winncott play husband and father.

Well, you threw down the proverbial gauntlet so I took up the challenge and started searching last night to see what I could find out about this movie. So far I've come up empty-handed beyond IMDB and two other sites listing the same info.

I'm starting to wonder if this movie was ever even made. I even checked Lifetime's website to see if it was in their movie database under a possibly different name or something. But no luck so far. Hmm.

And you're quite right as it would be interesting to see Mr. Wincott play a husband and a father. As it appears he's a lifelong bachelor (well, at least "supposedly"), the role might be a bit of a challenge for him to portray. I'm kidding of course as he's pretty much awesome in everything he does even when the movie might not be on par with his incredible talent. Speaking of which I finally got to see The Red Phone: Manhunt the other day. Let's just say making one's player accommodate foreign Wincott movies isn't easy but not completely impossible. ;-)

I have done same thing and searched the same sights and come up with nothing either...nice to know I am not only one...lol

Belladante, thank you for making the effort to see all of Michael's work. How did you like Red Phone? I haven't included it on the website, even though I have a copy. Michael did a fine job as always, but it's not a quality film. It might show up on the site someday just because so many fans ask me about it.

Honestly, I actually found the movie rather painful to watch and the only saving grace was Michael. What I found most amusing about the whole thing was the brief interview with Mr. Wincott on the extras where he laments about the differences of filming in Europe versus US and how he was not getting paid very much. I can't believe they actually put that on there, but it did bring a big smile to my face!

It's a bogus listing. Never made it.

Belladante and others;

I've tried and tried to find evidence for this film, without much success and I mean for like 7 years.

I did find a few things about the film beginning and ending production, and I found a blog for the child actor, that talked about him actually working on the sets, and so forth. So it seems it WAS made, but possibly never released.

HOWEVER -- there is not a shred of evidence that MW ever appeared in this. He denies it. It may be a mistake, that never got corrected (though one wonders, since it was a principal role and SOMETHING was filmed, who the heck played the part? and why didn't THAT actor correct the listing?)

I agree, it would have been quite a change of pace to see him play a Dad, let alone a grieving dad...he does the emotional crying thing so splendidly....

But once again - if the film got shot and edited, it's in a deep dark cave somewhere and possibly never come to light, and highly unlikely MW ever really filmed a day of shooting for it.

ALSO: this goes double ditto for "The Longest Day", or whatever.

Both of these are BOGUS CREDITS. I have personally removed them 2-3 times in the past, only to find, BINGO, they are back again....so I give up.

MW is now "computer literate" and involved in the site (pictures etc.) so it is in his very capable hands to correct any errors......
