A Lonely Place For Dying limited theatrical release

Hi All,

Justin Evans announced today that A Lonely Place For Dying will see a limited theatrical release in January of 2012. It will play in four markets to begin with and it's success there will lead to a wider release. This is great news and shows how determined Justin has been. The film has played in dozens of festivals and about 10,000 people have seen it and loved it. Justin told me that Micheal will make an appearance at the Portland, Oregon premier for a Q&A session.

Anybody up for planning a group road trip? That's like the other side of the world from me, but I may consider it. However, I'm working on Justin to include the southeastern region as well.

Let's be sure to support this film as much as we can. Not just because we all adore Michael, but because Justin and his team need encouragement to continue on the good path to cinematic excellence.

Thank you,

That's wonderful news, Laura. I'd almost given up hope of this playing theatres.

We have a lot of film festivals here in Ohio, but sadly, ALPFD never played here.

I've never been to Portland either, but maybe it is time for a road trip! (LOL)

There must be film festivals in your neck of the woods; any luck there?

I'm actually on the committee for our Sarasota Film Festival. I've been with them for about 20 years doing everything from marketing, concierge to none other than Rutger Hauer and Gerard Depardieu, and even on the judging and selections committee. However, these last two years we implemented some stupid rules for submission and ALPFD didn't qualify to the satisfaction of my colleagues. GRRRR!
The film played at the Clearwater festival last October, but it was the same weekend I had commitments to a Renfaire performance. This March, it was in Ft Myers and again I missed it. Disappointing for sure.

Let's think about that road trip. We could have fun together after only online chatting all these years. ;)
